1. Who we are
Jadewave Limited (“Jadewave”, “we”, “us”) is a recruitment agency and employment business registered in England & Wales under company number 08804531. Our registered office is Dept 6912a, 196 High Road, Wood Green, London, N22 8HH. We operate this website at https://jadewavelimited.com/ and provide work-finding services to candidates and staffing services to clients.
For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Jadewave Limited is the data controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@jadewavelimited.com or on 07404 899 825.
2. The personal data we collect
- Identity and contact data — your name, email address and phone number, collected when you use our contact, CV registration, staff request or job application forms, or when you call or email us.
- Recruitment data (candidates) — your CV and the information in it (work history, qualifications, skills), the kind of work you are looking for, your availability, and — where a role requires it — right-to-work documents, references, training records and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check information.
- Client data — business contact details and staffing requirements submitted by employers.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, recorded in standard server logs by our hosting provider.
3. How we use your data and our lawful bases
- Providing work-finding services — matching candidates with vacancies, submitting your details to prospective employers with your knowledge, and arranging interviews and placements. Lawful bases: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interests as a recruitment business.
- Compliance — verifying right to work, and keeping the records we are required to keep under the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- Responding to enquiries — answering messages sent through this website. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Keeping in touch about relevant roles — contacting registered candidates about vacancies that match their profile. Lawful basis: legitimate interests; you can ask us to stop at any time.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling, and we never sell personal data.
4. Who we share data with
- Prospective employers, when putting you forward for a role — we tell you before your details are submitted.
- Referees you nominate, and vetting providers (for example DBS checking services) where a role requires checks.
- Payroll, accounting and umbrella providers, for paying temporary workers.
- IT and hosting suppliers who store data on our behalf under contract.
- Authorities or regulators where we are legally required to do so.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep candidate and client records for the duration of our working relationship and, as required by the Conduct Regulations 2003, for at least one year after we last provide work-finding services. Records connected to pay and tax are kept for six years in line with HMRC requirements. Enquiry messages that do not lead to a working relationship are deleted within twelve months.
6. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email info@jadewavelimited.com. We respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
7. Security and storage
Personal data is stored on secure, access-controlled systems within the UK/EEA. CVs uploaded through this website are transferred over an encrypted connection and held in our website’s protected storage until processed by a consultant.
8. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least annually and will post any changes on this page with a revised date.
